on 2010-09-04First for the price these can't really be beat and put off a decent amount of light. They are also sturdy plastic.
My one comment is that the top can come off a little too easily. We have lots of birds and squirrels that like to climb on it and the twist off cap can come off and fall. Despite that the LEDs held up fairly well to constant falls. If it had a little more of a locking mechanism it might help. Probably not a a big issue for most fencelines but I had two of these on higher posts that required a ladder to get to.
If you have all reachable heights then this is great for the price. If you have harder to reach then look for a different housing design.

on 2010-08-26Ordered 12 units, all work fine and continue to work. Dont look for illuminating your area they are only accent lights. But we knew this going in. Many compliments from neighbors.

on 2010-06-17This lights are so cool. They have a classy appearance and work great! So great in fact, I'm ordering 2 more. I didn't want to remove the wood from the top of the post,(just had my deck built) so I lifted the reflective plate inside and was able to screw them down and get the same look. A definite must have for the deck. Good quality and what's more they use the same battery that all the other solar light use. I purchased the 18 pack of rechargeable solar lights, so I'm set.
What a great buy!!!
